Extra Shirts from Sewing Class Being Donated
High school students who made simple pajama bottoms and tops for a sewing class have been donating them to underprivelidged kids.
This story comes form the Brazil Times. The instructor for the beginning textiles course at Northview High School noticed that after the kids were finished with their projects, the bottoms were worn, but never the tops. She thought that if the t-shirts and tops weren't being worn by the students (who made them), perhaps others would want them who actually needed them.
Great idea - and in that article she found that once the students realized that the tops were going to be worn by someone else, they took the extra effort in the fabrication.
